The Florida Gators have shown in recent weeks that they know how to win ugly. They certainly have.
1. Unable to make plays or sustain drives, quarterback Treon Harris and the struggling Florida offense were smothered by an improving and attacking Florida State defense, ending the Gators’ hope of reaching the College Football Playoff.
2. Almost fittingly, the Gators only points were produced by the defense early in the fourth quarter, when true freshman defensive end CeCe Jefferson forced a fumble that was recovered in the end zone by FSU quarterback Sean Maguire for a safety.
