Is the SEC East worse than the ACC Coastal?

Miami plays at Virginia Tech in a big ACC Coastal game tonight...in a battle between a pair of 4-2, unranked teams. That says something about the division, which continues to be the little brother to the Atlantic (home to Clemson, Louisville and Florida State).

It also got me thinking about another overlooked, mediocre division. The SEC East. Maybe Florida's ugly 40-14 win over Missouri is still fresh in my mind.

So, I wonder, which division is worse: The SEC East or the ACC Coastal?

Here's a breakdown of their Sagarin ratings (an imperfect but solid set of numbers designed to rank every team in the country):

SEC East
Florida: 16
Tennessee: 21
Georgia: 50
Missouri: 57
Vanderbilt: 68
Kentucky: 76
South Carolina: 77
Average: 52

ACC Coastal
Miami: 22
Virginia Tech: 24
North Carolina: 34
Pitt: 40
Georgia Tech: 45
Duke: 59
Virginia: 78
Average: 43

Non-conference records are tricky to compare, just because the SEC East has played weaker teams.
