JACKSONVILLE - Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. called his latest arrest “just a bump in the road,” insisting he’s mature and vowing to prove he’s a role model.
Speaking publicly for the first time since being arrested in his hometown of St. Petersburg last week, the former Florida Gator apologized Wednesday to the organization and the city for his actions that led to misdemeanor charges of simple battery and mischief.
“I just want to let people know and everybody know that’s not me as a person,” Fowler said as the Jaguars reported for training camp.
