Many of the same SEC football coaches who were so vehemently opposed to satellite camps a year ago have embraced them now that the NCAA ban has been lifted.
Several SEC schools have lined up multiple off-campus camps in June, including Florida, which at last count will participate in seven in the state and other parts of the country.
Now that the camps are a reality, it doesn’t mean the controversy is over.
Many coaches and athletic directors remain opposed. And most think the camps need some form of regulation and restrictions if they do remain in the future.
