Gators' work at spring practice making McElwain a happy camper

Echoing the positive comments made by offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier last week, Florida coach Jim McElwain said Monday he’s confident the Gator offense will be much improved in 2017.

“I feel good about it,” McElwain said Monday during a news conference. “The way that they’ve (been criticized), they’ve got a little chip on their shoulder.

“They hear the same thing that you probably asked Nuss, and I think they’re kind of tired of it. So, that’s a good thing.”

Nussmeier was asked several times last week why he thought the Gators would be better on offense.
