Gators at Vandy: Florida out for redemption

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In processing the grief associated with a devastating loss, the Florida Gators apparently have taken an accelerated textbook approach.

Pain, tears and shock on Saturday.

Disbelief and denial on Sunday.

Acceptance on Monday morning. Back to work and a normal routine on Monday afternoon.

By Wednesday, the Gators were all better and focusing on Vanderbilt and football only, according to UF coach Jim McElwain.

“I think the aftermath and everything is done, it’s over, let’s go correct. And let’s get ourselves a little bit better,” McElwain said after Wednesday’s practice. “That's why you play.
