Shawn Davis has wanted to be a Gator for months — so went the scuttlebutt about the three-star cornerback from Miami’s Southridge High, who had scheduled a commitment for after his team’s Friday night regular season opener.
Then that game got abbreviated by rain. Then Davis was going to announce at noon on Saturday — except he didn’t, and Scout scooped him.
Finally, Davis tweeted out a commitment video — not quite at the production values of Friday Florida commit Fred Hansard’s Bleacher Report-produced reel — and made what was an open secret public knowledge, by committing to the Gators.
