Florida needed a throwback effort to overcome some sloppy offensive play Tuesday night against Ole Miss.
On ’90s night, Florida’s defense delivered enough stops late. Junior point guard Kasey Hill and freshman guard KeVaughn Allen also came up with some big shots at crunch time to allow the Gators to escape with a 77-72 win over the Rebels at the O’Connell Center.
It didn’t come easy. With Florida clinging to a 67-66 lead, senior forward Dorian Finney-Smith came up with a big blocked shot on an Ole Miss inside shot attempt.
