FINAL: #6 LSU Holds Off #8 Florida 35-28 In Death Valley

The #6 LSU Tigers got all they could handle from the #8 Florida Gators on Saturday night in Death Valley. However, a little bit of trickery went a long way in a 35-28 victory that solidifies LSU's place as a College Football Playoff.

Just over four minutes into the fourth quarter, LSU kicker Trent Domingue lined up for what looked to be a 34-yard field goal attempt. What the Tigers actually had in store for the Gators was much different...

Domingue's 16-yard end-around run broke a 28-28 tie, killing momentum Florida had built up with 14 unanswered points. Florida QB Treon Harris had one more shot to lead the Gators back with just under two minutes left, but a final Hail Mary sailed out of bounds.

LSU (6-0) stays perfect and will likely find themselves in the top four of the AP Poll tomorrow morning. Florida (6-1) suffers its first loss of the season and will look to bounce back against Georgia next week.
