Players' early impressions positive on White

Through just a few weeks, new Florida basketball coach Michael White is starting to put his stamp on the program.

White and his staff of three assistants, ranging in age from 28 to 39, have been on the court with players, knocking them around with tackling dummies, encouraging them and sometimes even getting under their skin a bit during individual drills.

“They are talking trash to us,” Florida sophomore forward Devin Robinson said. “They just get us going.”

Florida junior guard DeVon Walker said the trash talk is mostly good-natured.

“They motivate you,” Walker said.
