Heading into the spring many people were questioning the Florida Gators coaching staff for not having a ton of offensive line offers out, but that has changed during the spring evaluation period as the Gators are sending out offers nearly on a daily basis.
Wednesday was no different as offensive line coach Mike Summers offered offensive lineman Brett Heggie (6-4, 290, Mount Dora, FL High) after a careful spring evaluation.
“Florida and Mississippi State offered me today [Wednesday], Heggie said. “Coach Summers was the coach from Florida who offered me. I talked to him on Tuesday night and he told me it was a done deal and that they were going to offer me this week but he wanted coach [Jim] McElwain to offer me but he told my head coach today [Wednesday] to have me call him so he could go ahead and offer me.
