Former Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan thanked Gator Nation in a full-page advertisement that was published in the Sunday edition of the Gainesville Sun.
The advertisement signed by Donovan and his wife, Christine, joked history has proven it isn’t easy to leave UF, alluding to his brief stint as the Orlando Magic head coach. Within a week of accepting the NBA job, Donovan returned to UF to resume leading the Gators basketball program.
