Colorado State Recruit Has Been Told Jim McElwain Is 'Taking The Florida Job'

This doesn't make it official for Florida...but it's pretty close. According to 247 Sports' Steve Wiltfong, Glendale Community College TE Evan Faunce has been informed by CSU's Tight Ends coach that Jim McElwain will be departing for Florida.

"The tight end coach says that the head coach is taking the Florida job," Faunce's father Jay told 247. "Said they will talk to Evan about Florida when it's official." Faunce, a former Western Michigan commit, is considering Colorado State, UTSA and a handful of other schools as he looks to transfer out of community college. Florida Athletic Director Jeremy Foley flew to Colorado on Tuesday to discuss the vacant coaching position with McElwain.
