Coming off a 7-5 season, Florida isn't viewed as among the top 25 teams in the country.
Florida comes in unranked in the preseason Amway Coaches Poll for the 2015 season, snagging just two votes from the dozens of SIDs coaches who vote in the theoretically meaningless prestigious poll.
In an uncanny pair of coincidences, those two votes tie Florida with none other than Georgia Southern, the team that infamously handed the Gators their first loss to an FCS school (in the Eagles' last game as an FCS program) in 2013 — and for 48th place in this preseason poll, recalling the Gators' 4-8 record that year.
