3 Top Prospects Florida Can Still Land In The 2016 Recruiting Class

The bulk of the Florida Gators' recruiting work has already been done for the Class of 2016, but there's still a handful of major impact signings which could be on the horizon for Jim McElwain's coaching staff before next Wednesday's National Signing Day. Here's our list of 3 Top Uncommitted 2016 Football Recruits Florida Can Still Land.

OL John Simpson
The four-star North Charleston (SC) product narrowed his list down to two schools following an official visit to Clemson this past weekend -- the aforementioned Tigers and Florida.

Ranked as the #7 offensive guard in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports, Simpson had a "good" in-home visit with Jim McElwain on last week and was told by the UF head coach that he is a "big-time player" that would have a major impact in Gainesville -- a sentiment that sat well with the standout offensive lineman.

CB Kristian Fulton
All signs point to LSU for the five-star Metairie (LA) star, especially with the fact that Florida is currently operating without a defensive backs coach after Kirk Callahan was fired earlier this month.

However, Fulton visiedt Gainesville this past weekend, and the Gators took advantage by explaining their vision for the future of the secondary and made the final in-person impression on Fulton before Signing Day.

DE Brian Burns
The four-star Fort Lauderdale defensive end is a solid favorite to remain in state with the Gators, but keep an eye on Georgia and Florida State as the week wears on. Ranked as the #5 weak-side defensive end in the Class of 2016, Burns would be a major topper for a Gators defensive haul that's majorly impressive as is.
