For Florida Atlantic’s quarterbacks, Saturday’s scrimmage may be the biggest practice of preseason camp.
Saturday could mark the final big evaluation of FAU’s Jason Driskel, De’Andre Johnson and Daniel Parr as the three compete to earn the Owls’ starting quarterback job. FAU coach Lane Kiffin said the Owls would have a mock game next Friday, but that would be “more situational.”
Kiffin said Saturday’s scrimmage would “probably be similar” to last Saturday’s live scrimmage.
“Obviously, every day is part of the evaluation process,” Kiffin said. “But we don’t have another scrimmage-type format.
