Many sports fans in North Texas probably awoke Monday morning to a woozy feeling that they're having a reoccurring nightmare.
Except the Cowboys' last-second loss to Green Bay on Sunday night was no nightmare. It actually happened. And, no, you aren't imagining that the Cowboys' defeat continued a cruel local-team pattern.
During the past eight months, the Stars, Rangers, FC Dallas and now the Cowboys have entered the playoffs as No. 1 seeds. None even made it to the respective conference finals. The Cowboys, Rangers and FC Dallas were one-and-dones.
As noted philosopher Yogi Berra once observed, "It's like déjà vu all over again.
