Yannick Bolasie set for surgery after knee ligament injury rules £30m Everton star out for rest of the season

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

The former Crystal Palace forward, who arrived at Goodison Park for £25million in the summer, went down clutching his knee during the game and, despite attempting to return to the pitch, was substituted shortly after.

Scans have confirmed the extent of the damage, which will now see the 27 year-old sidelined until next season.
