Sigurdsson Embracing Pressure To Perform For Blues

Gylfi Sigurdsson vowed to “put pressure on myself” to play well for Everton and says he has joined a “club on the rise”.

The Blues this week paid a Club-record fee to secure Sigurdsson’s services from Swansea after the midfielder’s goals and assists played an enormous part in ensuring the Welsh team’s Premier League survival last term.

And the Iceland international is ignoring the finances involved in the deal to bring him to Goodison Park to concentrate on getting even better as an Everton player.

“I put pressure on myself to play well for the team and to create and score goals for the Club,” said Sigurdsson.
