Yannick Bolasie has outlined his hopes of returning to action before the end of the calendar year as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury.
The Blues winger, signed from Crystal Palace last summer, was an integral part of Ronald Koeman’s side in the first half of the campaign before suffering the setback against Manchester United at the beginning of December.
Two operations followed, the first to repair the meniscus and the most recent, which took place earlier this month, to address the damaged anterior cruciate ligament.
Bolasie is now able to step up his rehabilitation as he bids to regain full fitness before the beginning of 2018.
