Edmonton Oilers Will Be Sellers at Trade Deadline, as Per Reports

The Edmonton Oilers supposedly made a front office decision yesterday, and they have apparently decided that at the trade deadline, they will be sellers, signaling the start of a rebuild.

Pierre LeBrun, correspondent for ESPN, first reported the news, and The Score, among other sources, confirmed his report. This means that as the deadline looms, the Edmonton Oilers will look to get rid of some of their pieces, such as Justin Schultz and Teddy Purcell.

According to LeBrun, the Oilers would not really have a point in resigning him, due to the fact that they have depth when it comes to the scoring, so if they can deal him to a team looking for some more secondary scoring, they can dump his contract and get a possibly decent return.
