Edmonton Oilers fans and other hockey fans alike were surprised when the team dropped to fourth in the NHL 2016 Entry Draft. As many speculated that the Oilers would look into using it, Peter Chiarelli revealed that he is planning on shopping it.
“There’s a real legitimate chance to look to move this pick, to improve our team, to get bigger or to get a D and get something else,” Chiarelli told the Edmonton Journal. “There’s also a chance, as I said in my previous comments, that we could move the pick to get an AHL (NHL) defenseman, too.
