The Edmonton Oilers have a few more weeks to go until training camp starts, and with it, they will have to assess their situation on defense. Knowing that Adam Larsson is the only upgrade the Oilers have made to their team this offseason, many still wonder if Edmonton will take any more chances and sign any more defensemen.
There were a few choices left on the backend in free agency, a list of a few right-handed defenders who could become a cheap asset on the team’s roster. These remaining free agents, however, are not proven, and need to show that they belong on an NHL roster.
