The Oilers lost a close matchup in their last game against Philadelphia. It was also a heated evening, considering Brandon Manning’s violent behavior towards Connor McDavid. Though the Oilers will surely focus on being physical, they are mainly focused on two points in the throes of their playoff race.
Game Notes
– Kris Russell remains out of the lineup with injury. Head coach Todd McLellan mentioned that he will be available to the team on their upcoming road trip.
– Drake Caggiula will move to the wing, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will remain the third-line centre. The team placed all three of its star centres on different lines, and now have depth all the way down the middle.
