The Edmonton Oilers are in for another big night, as the NHL Draft Lottery is happening Saturday at 5 p.m. CMT. The Oilers will see how their draft pick situation plays out, and if they do in fact get another shot at that first-overall pick.
Right now, it appears the first-overall selection is going to be Auston Matthews, as he is by far the top prospect and best skater available. Behind him is Patrik Laine, who Oilers fans are falling too quickly in love with in my opinion (we can’t ensure that we go second-overall, guys; I love him too, but don’t get your hopes up) and Jesse Puljujärvi is expected to be taken third overall.
