The NHL Draft Lottery Gods were not shining down on the Edmonton Oilers, Saturday night. But the end result for the franchise is still very good indeed, #4 over-all…that is, if we get that far. And I, for one, doubt we do.

The big winner in this draft has to be considered the Winnipeg Jets, moving up to 2nd over-all. For a team solid on the blue-line but really lacking much punch up front, landing a Patrick Laine or a Jesse Puljujarvi will be a real shot in the arm for that franchise.
