This season was a disappointment for the Edmonton Oilers organization as there was so much hope and promise to right the sinking ship. With new experienced General Manager Peter Chiarelli and Head Coach Todd McLellan there should have been progress. Chiarelli was disappointed in the team as he set a goal of 82 points to reach by seasons end and the team could only accrue 70 points. This leaves the Oilers in the running for the first overall pick again.
Todd McLellan looked as though he was going to try Eberle on Connor McDavid’s wing to start the season after training camp.
