The Edmonton Oilers may have not gotten the defenseman that truly answered their problems in Andrew Ference, but they got arguably one of the best, warm-hearted players int he league. Though he didn’t play too well, there is a lot to remember the former captain for, especially as he questions whether or not to hang up the skates going into next season.
“I think that’s it for me,” Ference told ESPN.com about his career. “More than likely, [the Oilers] will probably buy me out this summer, and we’ll probably part ways. That’s it.”
Ference won a Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011, and was one of their best defenseman.
