Men's Golf Leads Loyola Intercollegiate After Day One

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team finished up day one of the 2017 Loyola Intercollegiate this Saturday, Feb. 25, at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz. After one round of play, the Eagles lead the event by five shots.

As a team, the Eagles finished day one with a 13-under par, 275, to take a five-stroke advantage in the tournament. The next closest squad is UT-Martin who recorded a team score of 280 in the first round.

Junior Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary) is pacing the field as he shot a round low, 64, good for eight-under par.
