YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - For the first time in her career, Eastern Michigan University women's track and field junior Jordann McDermitt (Davison, Mich. - Davison) earned Academic All-District First Team honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). McDermitt represented one of five Mid-American Conference award winners that earned first team honors.
McDermitt found plenty of success in the cross country season, as well as both the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons. Back in November, the Davison, Mich. native reeled in All-American honors at the NCAA Cross Country Championships after finishing 24th in 20:14.
