On Thursday, May 18, Eastern Michigan University announced its third athletic director of 2017 with the choice of Erin Kido to the interim for the position.
"It is a tremendous honor to serve Eastern Michigan University as the Interim Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics," said Kido.
Kido takes over for former-interim AD Christian Spears who followed the former director, Heather Lyke, to the University of Pittsburgh. Lyke was hired as the new Athletic Director for the university in March and will now be joined by her former deputy in the same position at Pitt.
Kido has served as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Administration for the past three years after her tenure at Xavier University.
