YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — With 15 consecutive semesters of a grade point average better than 3.0, the Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics continued its run of outstanding performance in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year. The Eagles posted a 3.173 grade point average (GPA) during the winter semester, the sixth-highest mark on record.
Other highlights of the year included:
• EMU student-athletes earned the highest semester GPA in school history during the Fall 2016 semester with a 3.238. Additionally, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes was the department's all-time best tally at 3.
