YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University junior right-handed pitcher Brad Allen (Manchester, Mich.-Manchester (Jackson College)) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week today, March 27. It is the first weekly award of the season for the Eagles, as well as the first of Allen's EMU career.
Allen tossed an absolute gem in the 3-0 victory in game one of a doubleheader against Bowling Green State University Saturday, March 25. The righty threw a complete game shutout, only allowing five total baserunners, including just two hits, while striking out six.
