Minshew comes alive in the second half in loss against USF

Zay Jones had another tier-one wide receiver day and James Summers ran for over 100 yards in his first official start in the ECU backfield.

When it came to ECU starting quarterback Philip Nelson though, the Pirate offense was having trouble getting in rhythm the whole first half.

A question mark was on his playing status all week, but it was definite in pregame warm-ups Nelson would be giving it a go.

By the third quarter, Nelson once again had all he could take after enduring another big hit and found himself being helped off of the field and did not to return for the remainder of the game.
