CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Duke men’s tennis team played its fifth match against a top-10 opponent Sunday at No. 2 Virginia and was blanked 7-0 by the Cavaliers at Snyder Tennis Center. The Blue Devils have played seven road matches this year, six against foes ranked within the top 20.
Duke, which exited Friday’s match against Boston College with just six healthy members of the program, had senior TJ Pura and sophomore Catalin Mateas miss Sunday’s match due to injury. The two missing from the match meant two doubles matches and only four singles matches were played.
