McCallie to Speak at “Taste for a Cure Chef’s Gala”

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women’s basketball head coach Joanne P. McCallie will be the keynote speaker for the Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation (PDMMF) inaugural “Taste for a Cure Chef’s Gala” Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Carlee Farm.

The sold out gala is a farm-to-table event featuring courses from seven, top triangle-area chefs along with McCallie, who is a four-time survivor of melanoma.

Participating chefs include Justin Anderson (Sous Chef, Gocciolina), James Dutra (Head Chef, Harvest Restaurant), Greg Gettles (Executive Chef, Piedmont), Serge Falcoz-vigne (Executive Chef and General Manager, Saint-Jacques), Christopher Prieto (Champion Pitmaster and Owner, PRIME Barbecue), Geoff Seelen (Farmer and Chef, Piedmont Biofarm) and Evan Sheridan (Pastry Chef, Herons).
