DURHAM, N.C. – In an effort to provide safety for student-athletes and staff members from harmful bacteria in its sports medicine venues, Duke Athletics has partnered with Vital Vio, Inc., an industry leader specializing in lighting for disinfection and infection control.
Vital Vio features White Light Disinfection™ LED technology that illuminates an area while also safely and continuously killing bacteria on surfaces, reducing contamination and infection risk, thereby providing student-athletes and staff members a safer environment in its facilities. Duke is the first college athletics program in the nation to provide a new layer of protection by incorporating Vital Vio’s innovative germ-killing lighting technology.
