Blue Devils Best Wolfpack in Straight Sets

DURHAM, N.C. – Rightside hitter Alyse Whitaker totaled 11 kills while middle blocker Jordan Tucker added 10 in Duke’s 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-21) victory over NC State Wednesday afternoon in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Whitaker committed just one attack error on 20 swings to register a .500 hitting percentage. She was also key to Duke’s (16-13, 11-8 ACC) defense at the net, adding four blocks.

Tucker’s 10 kills came on a .304 hitting percentage as the Prairie Village, Kan., native recorded her 15th match in double-digit kills this season. Fellow middle blocker Leah Meyer contributed nine kills and a match-high five blocks.
