GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke sophomore Nicolas Alvarez repeated as a first team All-ACC honoree in a vote of the league’s coaches, according to a release from the conference office Thursday morning. Alvarez served as Duke’s top singles player all year.
Alvarez, who has been ranked among the top 26 singles players all year, will enter the NCAA Individual Championship with a 17-14 overall record. He topped the Blue Devils with 10 wins against nationally ranked opponents and went 6-5 versus ACC foes. Alvarez’s six league victories, all in the No. 1 position, tied for the most on the squad.
