2017 NCAA Tournament: As Usual, The ACC Is In The House

The ACC may have been embarrassed early in the 2017 NCAA tournament, watching eight of nine entrants stumble out of the starting blocks, but all is not lost. Thanks to one of the usual suspects.

North Carolina’s defeat of Kentucky in the South Regional final sends the Tar Heels to the Final Four for the fifth time in 14 years under Roy Williams. That’s quite an impressive showing by any standard, and the 11th berth for the Heels since 1990.

That’s also more Final Four entrants from a single program than the total placed by the Big 12 or Pac-12 during that span.
