Fourth ACL Tear Ends Kelby Brown’s Duke Career

Sixth year senior linebacker Kelby Brown will miss his final season on the field as a Blue Devils with another tear of his ACL. Brown was injured in a players’ only practice last week. The news was officially announced today. Steve Wiseman of the Durham Herald first reported the injury.

Brown was granted a sixth year of eligibility after missing the 2014 season when he tore the same ACL in preseason practice. Brown missed the 2012 season after tearing his right ACL. He also tore his left ACL and MCL in 2010. In his last full season he helped lead Duke to the 2013 ACC Coastal Division Championship and the Chick Fil A Bowl.
