Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski Earns 2015 Lapchick Award for High-Character Coach

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski will be able to add another award to his stellar career, recently being named a 2015 recipient of the Joe Lapchick Character Award for the best men’s basketball coach. The Lapchick Award is given to coaches who exhibit honorable character and have impacted the game of basketball in honor of the late St. John’s Hall of fame Coach Joe Lapchick.

Mike Krzyzewski has had one of the greatest coaching careers of all-time since joining Duke University as the head coach in 1980. Over the years, Krzyzewski has led the Blue Devils to 5 Natonal Championships, the latest one this past season with only 4 freshmen and 8 scholarship players, and has 2nd most titles in NCAA history only trailing the legendary UCLA coach John Wooden.
