Duke Basketball News: Blue Devils' defense to face major challenge against Louisville

The Duke Blue Devils were shredded this past week by the offenses of two mid-level ACC clubs. Things promise to get even tougher when the team visits #6 Louisville on Saturday.

Here's ESPN's Eamonn Brennan with his assessment of what has been a disappointing week for everyone involved with the program:

On Sunday, the Blue Devils gave up 87 points in 70 possessions to an NC State team that lost at home to Wofford. On Tuesday, Duke went back to Cameron Indoor Stadium for what should have been a routine get-right home date. Instead, Miami poured on 90 points in 74 trips, and the Blue Devils fell at home for the first time since March 2012. The week's final tally: 80 minutes of basketball, 1.23 points per possession allowed, two blowout losses to middling ACC teams.

The Blue Devils' interior defense has been thoroughly manhandled as of late, so it's going to take a concerted effort for Duke to slow down the Lousville Cardinals in front of a hostile crowd at the KFC Yum! Center.
