Tyus Battle is one of Duke’s top recruiting targets in the 2016 class.
Battle is a 6’6”, 205-pound shooting guard from Edison, N.J., who’s ranked in the 247Sports Composite as the No. 4 shooting guard and No. 13 overall player in the class of 2016.
The Duke coaching staff has made him one of its biggest priorities for the 2016 class and hosted the talented junior this weekend on campus.
Andrew Slater of 247Sports tweeted a picture of Battle hanging out with Tyus Jones, Grayson Allen, Jahlil Okafor and Matt Jones.
According to comments from Gary Battle (Tyus’ father) to ZagsBlog, the idea of playing for Duke is appealing to Tyus because of how Coach K gives his wing players the freedom to make plays and use their versatility to assume multiple positions.
