DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's basketball team topped Northern Illinois, 95-86, Wednesday, Nov. 30 evening at the Knapp Center.
Drake (3-2) had four players finish with double-digits points led by senior Lizzy Wendell (Blue Springs, Mo., who tallied a game-high 30 points and added six rebounds. Wendell's big game is the ninth 30-plus scoring performance in her career and the second this season. She has 1,980 career points to continue her climb to 2,000 career points in her outstanding career.
Freshman Becca Hittner (Des Moines, Iowa) recorded 16 points in her impressive debut as a Bulldog.
