DES MOINES, Iowa – A career-high 19 from Odessa Cody (Chicago, Ill.) helped lead the Drake University volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Evansville on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Knapp Center.
Drake (13-11, 4-6 MVC) took the match by set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-16. Evansville (4-20, 0-11 MVC) was led by Mildrelis Rodriguez's 21 kills.
"Getting a win tonight was huge for us," said Drake head coach Darrin McBroom. "We came out a little bit slow, so to do well and win this game was huge for us.
