Tigers like prospect Mike Gerber's approach

From start to finish, Mike Gerber had a good fall.

The Detroit Tigers’ outfielder prospect impressed during his Arizona Fall League campaign, which ended on Saturday in the Scottsdale Scorpions’ loss in the championship game.

Gerber went 1-for-5. He hit .280 with one home run and 14 RBIs this fall.

Multiple scouts have taken notice of the short and compact swing Gerber carries to the plate, and so, too, did Tigers assistant general manager David Chadd, who spent some time in Arizona watching the team’s prospects.

“He doesn’t have a whole lot of holes,” Chadd said.
