Nick Castellanos’ big spring continues with monster homer

Lakeland, Fla. – Nick Castellanos’ torrid spring continues.

He cleared the berm in left field with a mammoth shot in the first inning, his fourth homer of the spring, then he laced an opposite-field double off the wall in right in the third. He scored on an RBI single by Miguel Cabrera in the Tigers’ 4-3 spring loss to the Blue Jays’ split-squad team Sunday.

Castellanos' homer traveled at least 380 feet.

Castellanos came in hitting .340. In the previous 15 games, he hit .356 with seven doubles and three home runs with 13 RBIs.

Cabrera, playing for the first time since his return from the WBC, went 1-for-2.
