The Tigers were finally able to get to Danny Salazar in the fifth inning.
Steven Moya led off the inning with just the second hit of the night for the Tigers, a single down the right field line. James McCann singled back up the middle and Andrew Romine drew a walk to load the bases for Ian Kinsler, who delivered an RBI single through the right side of the infield. Cameron Maybin grounded into a fielder's choice, which would have been a double play, but the Indians threw the ball away, scoring two runs to make it 7-3.
