Nicholas Castellanos singled to lead off the half inning before Mikie Mahtook flew out to a running Lorenzo Cain in left center field -- preventing a likely RBI double. Jose Iglesias then struck out looking for the second out before Ian Kinsler flew out to right field to end the inning.
After three, the Tigers are still down 1-0.
